Did you ever buy 'upgrades' of a console?

For example, you have a GameBoy advance, and then Nintendo releases GameBoy Advance SP. Did you buy it?
Or the time when they had a DS and made a DS Lite.

For me, the only 'upgrade' that I bought was the GameBoy Advance SP, just because it looked cool and my friends were buying it.

Nah, never, unless you call the gbc an upgrade, never had a gameboy until then though. Only reason I might would be if my original console broke, really annoys me when people trade in perfectly fine consoles for one that's 15% lighter OMG

Still rocking my original Gbc, gba, ds, psp, playstation and ps2.

I do have a slim ps3, but it's the first one I bought

Yes I bought a GBA SP, Game Boy Micro, DSi, and Sega Genesis 3. All great.

I went from DS to DS Lite, but only because I gave my brother my old DS.
He and my other little borthers now have the DSi and I'm still sticking with my DS Lite

I don't like it when Nintendo hypes up a 'new' console, and it's just a console that is lighter/shaped differently than the last.

I'm way to frugal to ever allow myself to buy another version of the same system. The only reason I have a DS Lite is because my original DS broke and they weren't making them anymore. I liked the original much more.

That's why I still have a 15ish-year old TV-box, works just fine too :D

My parents bought me the DSi, but I never really asked for it.
Well it does have alot of features that the DS never had I guess, but I don't know if it was really worth making, it feels kind of like a downgrade when there isn't a GBA port.

What to say in such a small box...
Yes, I have to say I bought the Gameboy SP and the DS Lite after the DS.

But, I'm not going to buy the DSi, as there is no point really.
The features that they have put on it, you can easily do on a computer.
Anyway back to the point, I think then they had improved the technology.
However, now I wouldn't buy an upgrade unless they invented something totally new.

I usually wait for the upgrades. Never had a GBA, but I bought a GBA SP. Never had a DS, but I bought a DS lite. My L button doesn't work on my DS lite though, so I'll likely get a DSi eventually (eventhough I don't use the L-button for much).

Hmmm, I needed a DSi, because I wore down my A and R buttons on my DS lite. Too much Mario Kart.

Upgrades? I have experienced most upgrades of all handhelds.

Game Boy
Pocket: slim & light, but very durable.

Game Boy Advance
Micro: once again, very light & slim, and extremely durable.

Nintendo DS
Lite: sleek & attractive with improved battery life, screen brightness, and bigger stylus. All features are greatly appreciated, but very delicate and normally breaks with a 4 foot drop.
i: very attractive console, with improved screen size, bigger stylus, nice camera, Mp4 player, internet browser, and downloadable content are very fun to use. However, loss of GBA-compatability and half the battery life of the DS Lite should be taken into consideration for those who have GBA games and like a console that'll last you a road trip.

Wii are the Revolution
Yeah, I bought the Gameboy Advance. Then SP came out, so I bought that. That backlight made things so much better. I used to would strain my eyes when it started to get darker or if it were too bright on the original Advance. Not with the SP. ^^
