I just had to make a Bioshock 2 topic. Whenever N-Forums get into a conversation about their favorite games about 10-20 people always bring up Bioshock.

Who's getting it? Who's looking forward to it? Who can I look forward to crushing on the new multiplayer?

I still haven't preordered yet (procrastinator >_<) but I will this week. I usually don't preorder games, but I want to play as Zigo on the multiplayer.

Me,Me,Me! I'll have Gold for at least 2 days (probably the weekend it comes out). I'm usually not very good at competitive FPS matches, but come on. It's BioShock. I absolutely can't wait for my first Big Sister fight. Level I'm looking most forward to: the amusement park.

An I getting it? Absolutely - it's BioShock. An I psyched for it? Eh, not really. I think the whole "you're a Big Daddy" thing is stupid, and could've been done without. Hopefully the game ends up being fun, but they could've done something a lot better. And multiplayer? Really? That's not necessary, at all. I understand that they wanted multiplayer in the game to hook fans of online multiplayer, but the real fans of BioShock could do without it.

From the look of it the multiplayer will be great! They even had a separate company that knew a thing or two about mulitplayer work on it with them. From what I've heard it seems like the multiplayer itself has a story, interesting characters, and even some original gameplay not found in the main story mode. I've seen more interviews than I can count and it looks like the multiplayer is going to be as true to the original Bioshock as the new campaign.

Yeah, there's a story. I'm not good at summarizing so here's the Wikipedia version:
"Set in 1959 (one year before the events of BioShock), the player chooses to take on the role of a splicer fighting in Rapture's Civil War. The player is being sponsored by Plasmid manufacturer, Sinclair Solutions, to test out their weapons, Plasmids, and Tonics in a consumer reward program. As you progress through the multiplayer experience your character will unlock new weapons and Plasmids, provided by Sinclair, as well as progress the story of the Rapture Civil War."

The characters for multiplayer are intriguing too. I'm probably going to use the pilot most of the time. I was skeptical when I first heard there would be multiplayer. Needless to say, once I saw what it would be like I changed my mind.

I'm definitely interested in it but I don't think the online will have any sort of dedicated community - it takes a certain game to get that. Like Call of Duty or Halo. Sad, but true.
Will I ever see you again?

I will probably play as Zigo and the Welder.

EDIT: For those who don't check the cult of rapture, they just announced a new plasmid called Scout.
    Cult of Rapture

Scout is a brand new Plasmid for Bioshock 2. It essentially allows you to “leave your body” and walk the halls of Rapture as an invisible “Scout.” Splicers can’t see or hear you, but you still have access to your full set of equipped Plasmids. You can only use a few before you zip back to your body, so use them wisely!

Here is the video for it

Sounds fun. Gotta be careful where you leave your body though or some lucky splicer's gonna have an easy kill.

    See you, Space Cowboy.
If my hunk of junk PC can run it, I'll definitely be picking this up.

I was pretty skeptical about the multiplayer at first, but after watching some videos... it seems like it could be a lot of fun. Although I predict countless "wtf" moments when you get hit by Incinerate or and Electro Bolt from 300 years away.
