    Hi Everyone!

The DS has a lot of games out, and I'm interested to know which ones you like best and why.
Please post the names of your top 5 DS games and why you like them so much.

    These are my favourites:

Pokémon Pearl:I love all the Pokémon games, but this one is just the best -- fantastic graphics, a good story line, and loads of awesome Pokémon to catch! Plus, it's really easy to trade and battle with friends. A must-have for any Pokémon fan.

Sonic Rush:I think Sonic is probably one of the best ever video-game characters, and this game is one his greatest. Blaze, the violet cat, is strong, beautiful, and disciplined, simply a fantastic character. The levels are good fun, the music is enjoyable, and the graphics are amazing. Nintendo Magazine got it right when they said it was "The Best Sonic Game EVER!"

Animal Crossing:This is the sweetest ever game, that really and truly is nothing more than another, more peaceful life. Your day will consist of picking fruit, catching bugs, and buying furniture for your house, which gradually expands. You can also visit other people's towns via WI-FI or simply through the DS itself. A wonderful gaming treat.

Mario Kart DS:This game is just a load of fun, allowing you to play as one of 13 characters, race on 30 different tracks, and challenge your friends in multiplayer mode, whether they have the game or not! This installment of the classic series is definately not to be missed!

42 All-Time-Classics: A real gem in the gaming world, this cartridge features chess, draughts and many different card games to play on your own or with a friend. An easy way to learn new games, this treasure is not to be missed by anyone, young or old.

    :) :) :) :) :)

Pokemon Pearl: Though not as good as the Kanto and Johto games, it's far better than the Hoenn games. It's just an all-around fun game.

The Ace Attorney games: Who knew the courtroom could be so fun? The stories are great and the characters are memorable.

LoZ: Phantom Hourglass: Not one of my favorite Zelda games, but it doesn't disappoint. I loved how easy the stylus was to use. Certain puzzles were upsetting (I shouldn't have to close the DS), but overall a good game.

... I'll have to get back to you on the rest. Can't remember more that I played and loved.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team: Pure nostalgia here. It's charming world, combined with great music and great story make this one of my favorites. This game has stuck with me for years now.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time: This game's extremely well-written story is its high point. It's very emotionally gripping; I remember I cried my eyes out at the ending. This is one of those 'more than a game' games. The music and atmosphere come together to make an epic, enlightening jewel of a game. Probably my favorite game ever (and IMO best game ever)!

Now since I don't want to obsess over PMD the whole time...

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time: Yes, the first one was overall better, but I still love this game. Why, part of my username comes from this game! This is one of those games that you can pick up and play through again just for the fun of it, which I've done, like, eight times.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village: This game was 'an altogether unique and exciting experience, and it has piqued my intellectual curiousity' (some of you will get that...). Really though, it's a very fun game, with wonderful voice acting, video, art, and overall polish.

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box: The sequel to the Curious Village, and a fantastic one at that. This game expanded on all the features of the first, which means wonderful art, voice acting, and video. Not to mention MORE of those things. Its immersing story included dread and emotional ties to the player, both of which the first game didn't have.

Those are my top 5. I have others I like (Animal Crossing, Mario Kart DS, Pearl), but those are my favorites.

I haven't played very many good games for the DS. The first three are all really good, after that, they were ok.

    1) Disgaea DS - The theme of the game is great, it is childish yet mature, the sprites are well done, the story is very well thought out and includes humor, and the characters have distinct personalities. The music is good and all battle moves have voice.

    2) Pokemon Diamond - For a change, the game is long and is set in a 3rd dimensional world. The new Pokemon are unique and pack a punch. The items are useful and the battle system is revolutionized with the touch screen.

    3) Kirby Superstar Ultra - Kirby is a little pink ball of fun and he can suck things up! XD The mini-games are ok, the powers available to you have different looks and a variety of uses.

    4) Spectrobes Beyond the Portals - The fact that you are able to mine for things is pretty awesome, plus they made it easy to do so. The spectrobes you can find are good looking and have ok attacks.

    5) Spectrobes - The same as the second (above) but with better mining tools, and less attractive spectrobes.

Hey people!! I would have to say my favourite DS game of all time is 42 All time classics. Its a great game for all ages, with a range of brilliant card games and board games. Simple but brilliant, I am totally adicted to the game.
However, I do like the game 101 games in 1 megamix. That is just genius! Again its the same sort of thing with little minigames but they are so adictive too ^_^ . I've completed the game but I'm still playing it.

    Sweetlooking over and out :P

#1. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - Not only an amazing DS game, but one of the best Grand Theft Auto games ever made. Seriously amazing, from start to finish.
#2. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - Though for a Zelda game, it's not up to the same quality, there's no denying that Phantom Hourglass is one of the best DS game ever made.
#3. New Super Mario Bros. - Seriously awesome. Classic 2D side scrolling, all in 3D. Awesome level designs, superb music, fantastic visuals. This game pretty much had it all. Too bad it was like, 3 hours long.
#4. Mario Kart DS - Mario Kart DS is, bar none, the best Mario Kart game money can buy you. Yes, better than Super Mario Kart, better than Mario Kart 64, and leagues ahead of Mario Kart Wii.
#5. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Though the previous two Castlevania games on the DS have been sort of, well, alright, Dawn of Sorrow was a fantastic game, and brought me into the franchise.

Oh, totally forgot about this one. I loved it, even if I wanted to shoot myself playing the secret and extra levels.

Really? I never liked the Mystery Dungeon series, and that's weird, because I love dungeon crawling. I just thought the combat system was....shoddy.

Can't really pick a favorite, but I can pick some that I really, really like.

Mario Kart DS. This game was....amazing for me. I loved Super Mario Kart. I loved Mario Kart 64. Super Circuit was meh, but man, they hit all of the right marks with this. Multiple karts, beloved courses, and superb multi player. Man. Fantastic. I wasted so many hours over this game. Add a bit of Mr. Jack, and wooooooo

Yoshi's Island DS - Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic. I love Yoshi's Island. This game featured multiple characters. That was awesome. Gameplay was flawless, story was unraveling - just amazing. It was supposed to have online play, too, but it got axed, so I can only imagine how much fun that would've been.

Super Robot Taisen Original Generation: Endless Frontier (SRT:OG:EF) Namco x Capcom play style, with an awesome cross over story that features original characters, Super Robot Wars characters, KOS-MOS from Xenosaga, and Xiamou and Reij from Namco X Capcom. Such an awesome game. I really, really got hooked on it.

Tetris DS - Really? Need I explain? Strong online play, great DS only features, fantastic retro feel, great music, flawless gameplay - just an overall awesome package.

(Will edit more. Need more juice)

@ Link Kid: I play GTA from time to time but I found it repetetive and boring. The only fun thing to do in the game was to go up ramps and play the hobotron minigame. I was kinda disappointed.

Mario Kart DS: I felt as if this game was going back to the N64 roots for Mario Kart. It was a breath of fresh air after Double Dash for me. Courses were great and it also was the start of bringing back older stages. Online was great to.

Sonic Rush: This game had awesome graphics even if it was a 2d side scrolling game! It seemed faster then the advance series (which were great to) .

Sonic Rush Adventure. Adding to the madness of the previous rush game, graphics were improved in some areas and also added in an tenses online racing mode.

New Super Mario Bros: I been waiting for another 2d Mario game ever since Super Mario World. Its all Mario! What else can I say? :D

Metroid Prime Hunters: Probably the best graphical game out there. It also had the best intro game I ever seen. It also added new character to the Metroid Universe and online was one of the best for the DS.
